April Food Day 2019

Join United Way of Metro Chicago for our 2019 April Food Day! The annual food collection event and awards luncheon addresses food insecurity in the south-southwest suburbs, a region that is home to the fastest growing population of people living at or below the poverty line. Last year, United Way collected more than 128,000 pounds of food to address summer food insecurity and to restock food pantries.

April Food Day 2018 Recap Video

Through donations of non-perishable food items, household goods and financial support for our 2019 event, you can help more individuals and families in the south-southwest suburbs meet some of their most basic needs.

There are many ways for you or your company to get involved. You can make a financial gift, become a sponsor, or donate food or household goods. Learn more about each opportunity below and how you can help build a stronger south-southwest suburban region today!

Awards luncheon sponsorships help to further the critical work in the south-southwest suburban region to address challenges associated with food insecurities in the spring and summer months as donations decrease and supplies diminish.

To learn more about how you and/or your company can join the fight to support our neighbors in the south-southwest region, download the April Food Day sponsorship document or contact Maya Hardy at maya.hardy@uw-mc.org
