United Way of Metropolitan Chicago (UWMC) announced it will be moving its headquarters to 333 South Wabash Avenue in May 2013. UWMC will be occupying half the space it currently has and the workplace design will result in more efficient work space providing community partners and employees with greater opportunities to collaborate.
“The sale of our building places us in a much better long-term financial position,” said Wendy DuBoe, president and chief executive officer at UWMC. “This, along with transitioning into more productive work space with attractive terms, enables us to continue to make the maximum investments in education, income and health programs across more than 40 communities of greatest need. CNA is an ideal partner for us as they share a passion for meeting the needs of Chicagoland children and families.”
“United Way of Metropolitan Chicago is playing a leading role in helping to create stronger communities and we’re thrilled to help in their efforts by providing cost-effective and flexible office solutions,” said Thomas Pontarelli, executive vice president and Chief Administration Officer.
