As part of a partnership with iHeartMedia and WGRB (Inspiration 1390 AM), United Way of Metropolitan Chicago welcomed a group of local pastors on Monday, December 14th for their quarterly meeting and brunch. WGRB on-air talent, Sonya Blakey, was the host of the event. 15 local area pastors, including United Way partner Pastor Chris Harris of Bright Star Church and Community Outreach, attended the meeting at the United Way offices.

United Way staff and guests enjoyed an inspirational performance by Phil Tarver, a singer, songwriter, and arranger who ministers through the spoken word of God and expressive worship. He serves as Minister of Music & Fine Arts of Valley Kingdom Ministries International, under the leadership of Apostle H. D. Wilson. Following brunch and the gospel performance, Wendy DuBoe, Jose Rico, Yvonne Orr-El and Keith Lewis engaged with the pastors and discussed how United Way could work with them to improve the lives of those in most in need in the communities served by the pastors.
