Minute To Win It Gives a New Meaning to March Madness
Submitted on behalf of Member Development Chair, Ingrid Schwab & Communications Committee Member, Jason Randolph.
Along with United Way staff, the YLS Member Development Committee hosted a Minute to Win It Madness Fundraiser on Wednesday, March 21. The event was very successful, with 51 people in attendance; the event raised more than $700.
It was a great opportunity to support a worthy cause and network with other Chicago young professionals. All proceeds benefit United Way’s LIVE UNITED 2020 Education Initiative, which will directly impact education partner organizations across the Chicagoland area.
Attendees had the opportunity to play “Minute to Win It” style games, challenge each other on Xbox, and network while enjoying food and drinks.
The event closed with an exciting raffle highlighted by Bulls tickets, compliments of Turner Sports and private wine tasting parties from Wines for Humanity. Marlon Castillo of Traditum Group was the lucky winner of the Bulls tickets and Phoua Vang and Megan Foster of BMO Harris Bank will enjoy the wine tastings.
“The Minute to Win It” games were a fun and great way to get people to interact and raise money for a good cause,” Foster said.
Many thanks to Microsoft, Sopraffina and Comcast. Thanks to all who joined us for this successful and fun event. Look for more exciting networking and volunteer events to come this spring.
