Media coverage highlights UWMC as leaders of change

Recent media coverage illustrates United Way of Metropolitan Chicago’s role on different levels in leading and resourcing change in our region. Part of United Way’s unique value is that we do play the role of advocate, funder, partner, and innovator on both a neighborhood and regional level. These stories are good examples of that.

  • Wendy DuBoe, UWMC President & CEO, was recently part of a panel on WBBM News Radio discussing human services funding
  • A SouthtownStar article highlighted United Way’s bringing our Neighborhood Network model to Robbins and Blue Island
  • A segment on ABC/7, as part of their Spirit of Giving food drive, showcased a food pantry within Leman School in West Chicago that is part of our Live United Neighborhood Network (LUNN).
