Growing up in a world of fast-food and over-indulgence can make healthy, organic eating seem somewhat daunting and uninteresting. With obesity rates skyrocketing across the nation, many are wondering what can be done to change the next generation’s attitudes about food and what they consume. In Chicago, Fooditude is working to do just that. The organization encourages youngsters to try new foods, visit farmers markets and urban gardens, cook meals as a family and take interest in where their food comes from. They believe that if children experience healthy food in a fun way, they will have more positive attitudes towards them. Fooditude also produces webisodes featuring local kids discovering a variety of foods’ origins and benefits. They are currently searching for a few new faces to join the cast! Find out how your child can audition to become a Fooditude kid.
