Volunteer Leaders

With more than 10,000 volunteers and fewer than 140 paid staff, volunteers comprise more than 98% of the United Way workforce. These hard-working men and women serve in a broad range of capacities—from evaluating programs and making funding recommendations to serving on our Boards of Directors to providing hands-on support at partner agencies across the region. Volunteers are truly the backbone of United Way.
