What You Can Do
Support the new United Way Endowment

2008 marks the 75th anniversary of United Way in our region. To commemorate this milestone, we are offering a way for people to create a personal legacy of improving lives for generations. In addition to your gift to the annual United Way campaign, please consider a one-time gift to the new United Way Endowment, to ensure the ongoing well-being of our community. The Endowment will:

  • Provide resources for a quick and effective response to unexpected crisis in our region.
  • Stabilize human care services at times when resources are less available, such as during an economic downturn.
  • Serve as a source of revenue to fund emerging needs.

    • Any size gift to the Endowment is welcome and sincerely appreciated. However, those who contribute $2,500 and above during the launch year will be recognized forever in United Way Endowment materials:

  • Gifts of $2,500 or more to the Endowment will be recognized forever on the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago website as United Way Legacy Society members.
  • Gifts of $25,000 or more to the Endowment will be recognized forever on a public Endowment Founders Wall, in all future Endowment collateral materials, on the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago website and in our permanent electronic United Way Legacy Society listing.
