For the fiscal year ended June 30, 2014, United Way of Metropolitan Chicago invested $38.6 million in quality human service programs focused on education, income, health and basic needs across our six-county region.
Distributed funds are made as grants to partner agencies across United Way’s service footprint, investments in strategic initiatives in an issue area or neighborhood, and contributions designated by donors to area nonprofits. United Way of Metropolitan Chicago’s revenue is comprised of workplace campaign donations (individuals), corporate contributions, individual and major gifts, grants and in-kind contributions.
